Learn how to obtain a precise imaging diagnosis of Canine Elbow Dysplasia by comparing X-rays and CT images.
This workshop aims to establish the bases to identify radiographically and with CT the different conditions that can cause elbow dysplasia in dogs. We will begin with a brief introductory presentation in which the different radiographic signs associated with abnormalities of the medial joint space (medial coronoid process fragmentation/disease, osteochondrosis, and elbow incongruity) and the ununited anconeal process will be described in detail on radiographic and CT images. Next, the participants will review radiographs and CT images of clinical cases in which they will be able to apply the knowledge acquired, as well as more challenging cases. At the end of each clinical case, there will be a brief discussion among the participants always supervised by the instructors until the correct description of the injuries is obtained. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to identify radiographically and with CT lesions associated with elbow dysplasia.
