A MEDITERRANEAN CONVENTION CENTER
Inaugurated in 2004 for the Universal Forum of Cultures, the Barcelona International Convention
Centre is today a flagship of the business tourism facilities on offer in Barcelona, a city which has
become one of the world’s foremost business destinations.

sizes of meetings, its space, location and experience making it a European leader in the provision of
meeting solutions.
With a total floor area of around 100,000m2, the CCIB is one of the biggest Convention Centres in
Europe, capable of accommodating 15,000 delegates in a single space.
Located on Barcelona’s new seafront esplanade, Diagonal Mar, with
around 2,500 hotel roomsavailable in its immediate surroundings, the
CCIB is today a top-ranking business destination.
HOW TO GET TO THE CCIB
How to get to the CCIB from the airport
El Prat airport is located 13 kilometres south east from Barcelona and 20 kilometres from the CCIB.
Train (RENFE) The train service between the airport and the city centre (Paseo de
Gracia) is covered from 6:00 to 22:29 (direction Barcelona) and from
5:20 and 22:50 (direction airport)
There is one train every 30 minutes and the travel time is 25 minutes.
From the train station Paseo de Gracia it is easy to connect with the
yellow line (4 line) of the metro. The closest station to the CCIB is
Maresme- Forum.

Express bus (Aerobús)
The bus service between the airport and the city centre (Plaza
Cataluña) is covered from 6:00 to 1:00 on working days and from 6:30 to
1:00 during the weekends (direction Barcelona), and from 5:30 to 00:15
on working days and from 6:00 to 00:30 during the weekends (direction
airport)
There is one bus every 8 minutes and the travel time is 30 minutes.
Next to Plaza Cataluña, you can take the yellow line (line 4) of the
metro at the Urquinaona station. The closest station to the CCIB is
Maresme-Forum.

Taxi
The journey to the CCIB takes about 20 minutes. Fees change according to the time of day.
T1 Nightime fees: working days from 21:00 to 7:00 and weekends and bank holidays from 00:00 to 24:00
T2 Daytime fees: from 7:00 to 21:00
There is an additional cost for entry / exit from the airport and for carrying luggage.
How to get to the CCIB with public transport
You can reach the CCIB by metro (Maresme-Forum station in the yellow
line), bus (lines number 7, 36, 41, 43 and 141) and Trambesos (Forum
station). All these stops are located just a few minutes’ walking away
from the CCIB.
